ok.i know that the summer movie season has already started but i was a bit late on starting my blog. so i'll give a quick review of the first movies i saw so far.and then an extended review of "The Hangover" part 2.
Thor : better than i expected. great story line and shakespearean theme provided from Kenneth Branagh. great fun and decent acting.
Fast Five : definitely the most fun i had at the movies all year and the best one in the series. what it lacked in racing it made up in action and plot. Dwayne Johnson added some spark and all the actors have matured since the first one.
Pirates 4: big step up from the 3rd. Johnny Depp was amazing as always but Penelope was a poor substitute for Keira Knightley.
The Hangover Part 2 : i was a bit hesitant to watch this since i read all the negative reviews. i have one thing to say. CRITICS SUCK!!!once it began and it showed Phil on the phone saying they wouldn't make it back 4 the wedding i was in my comfort zone.the jokes were coming fast and furious . i was laughing so hard i had to gasp for air. consistently funny.Much darker tone (you'll see what i mean).raunchier and I've never seen Galifianakis so crazy.kudos to Todd Phillips and his fellow writers. Bangkok seemed like a much more appropriate setting than Vegas for this film and it was good to see Ken Jeong and Mike Tyson again.Paul Giamatti was a pleasant surprise.hope they make it into a trilogy.the jokes and theme maybe the same but they are still freakin hilarious.definitely worth a second viewing and an addition to my dvd collection.more than lived up to the original.The Wolfpack is back!!
